Il briefing

No plague is confirmed in Irkutsk; WHO seeks more information as testing continues.

The cause of the Irkutsk antiplague institute worker’s death remains unconfirmed, and laboratory testing is continuing. The Guardian reported that Russian officials have not provided the WHO with clear information about the death.

Madagascar has reported four confirmed plague cases since late July and five suspected cases detected last week. About 200 contacts received preventive treatment, while officials began insecticide spraying and hygiene campaigns.

I dati arrivano in ritardo e vengono rivisti, e alcuni luoghi comunicano poco o niente.
