Anchor Mode on iPhone Safari, and tidier greetings

  • Anchor Mode now works in Safari on iPhone.
  • A text section, like the greeting at the top of your briefing, no longer leaves an extra gap before the next section. The fix applies on the web, in the app and in the email.

Clearer alert emails and more feeds per section

  • News alerts no longer repeat a story they already reported from another outlet.
  • Every alert email has its own subject line: the lead headline, plus the date for digests. Gmail stops bundling your alerts into one thread.
  • On paid plans a section can read up to 10 feeds; on Starter, up to 5. If you downgrade, your sections keep the feeds they already have.
  • Building a section can now take up to 5 minutes, so heavier sections finish instead of timing out.
  • Each newsletter keeps its own icon color.
  • The Avos seal and footer logo show correctly in Gmail on iPhone.

Tones you can hear, and rankings that keep every story

  • Casual, friendly and humorous tones now shape the headlines too, not only the summaries.
  • A "top stories" filter now ranks the stories and shows you the best ones, instead of dropping the ones it was unsure about.
  • Failed work is never charged. If a chat turn ends in an error, a section comes back unusable or an alert check fails, it costs you no credits.

AI search feeds, quiet sections, and editor requests that finish

  • A section can use AI search as one of its feeds: an agent searches the web for your topic every time the issue is built.
  • Quiet sections: when nothing new happened in a section's time window, your issue says so instead of padding it with old news. In the editor you can choose to look back 30 days.
  • Long requests in the editor now wrap up on time instead of stalling. If the agent runs out of time, a Continue button picks up where it stopped, and your message is saved the moment you send it.

Price alerts that repeat, an alerts chat, and combined alerts

  • Price alerts can fire once, or every time the price crosses your level.
  • Create and edit an alert by chatting, the same way you build a newsletter. The form is still there if you prefer it.
  • Combined alerts mix news conditions with price triggers, and fire when all or any of them match.
  • A price level far from today's price now gets a warning before you save it.

Alerts: hear about it the moment something matches

  • Price alerts on stocks and crypto, from the same place. More on price alerts.
  • Choose how you hear about it: instantly, in a daily digest or in a weekly one.
