Crypto prices and news every morning by email: free and paid

Is there a free app that emails you crypto prices and crypto news every morning? CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, CoinStats, TradingView, Google Finance, newsletters and Avos compared, free and paid.

Partly. CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap send free daily newsletters on the whole market, and TradingView emails price alerts on its free plan. Avos builds a morning email around your own coins, with CoinGecko prices and related news from sources you pick. Its free plan lets you try it; a month of daily issues usually needs a paid plan.

This guide is for anyone who holds a handful of coins and would rather read one email over coffee than open five apps. It compares what each option actually sends, how it reaches you and what it costs. Full disclosure: Avos is our product. Every fact about the others comes from their own pages, linked below. Nothing here is investment advice.

What do crypto trackers and apps send you for free?

CoinGecko. Its official guide describes a free daily newsletter with "the latest crypto news, articles, videos, and reports" (guide). Price alerts are set from a coin page's bell icon and arrive as browser or app notifications; in the app you enter a target price and, when the coin reaches it, "receive an instant notification on your mobile device" (alerts guide). CoinGecko calls it free. Its guides don't describe price alerts by email or a newsletter built around your coins.

CoinMarketCap. Its newsletter is free and "sent out on a daily basis", with "Daily updates on gainers, losers, and overall market trends" and breaking news (newsletter page). Its app page lists alerts but gives no detail on them. Neither page describes tailoring the newsletter to your coins.

CoinStats. Its help center describes price alerts set by a target price or a percentage move, firing once or staying on, sent to "all your registered devices" (custom alerts). A Portfolio Value Notification reports your portfolio's change over the last 24 hours at the hour you pick, as a push notification (help). Neither page mentions email or says which plans include these.

TradingView. Its free Basic plan includes 3 active price alerts (pricing), and an alert can email the address in your profile, notify you in its app or call a webhook (alerts introduction). Alerts are set from a chart, and TradingView charts cryptocurrencies as well as stocks. It sends prices, not news.

Google Finance. Google's June 2026 update added AI tasks you describe in plain words, and its own example is a crypto one: "Send me a daily pre-market briefing analyzing significant overnight moves across major cryptocurrencies." The update arrives as a notification in the Google app for Android or iOS and in Google Finance's research panel on the web. The announcement doesn't mention email.

Free crypto newsletters. There are plenty, written by editors, and the good ones are a pleasure to read. Most send the same edition to every reader, though: you can't swap in the coins you hold, pick the sources, or drop the topics you don't care about.

Exchange apps. If you keep coins on an exchange, check its app's notification settings too. Those alerts live inside an account you already have.

How do the options compare?

Checked on 6 November 2026 against CoinGecko's guides, CoinMarketCap's newsletter and app pages, CoinStats' help center, TradingView's pricing and help pages, and Google's Google Finance announcement, all linked above.

How does Avos build a morning crypto email?

The quickest start is the Crypto template: prices and flows, plus protocol and policy news. Its page shows a real, recent issue, so you can read one before you use it. Or describe what you want to Avos's AI editor:

Every day at 7:00 my time: BTC, ETH, SOL and LINK with their price and 24-hour change, related news on each, crypto regulation news, and two sentences on the biggest mover.

The editor turns that into sections, each with its own sources, all visible and editable:

  • Prices. A financial section lists your coins with price and change on the day, from CoinGecko, refreshed for each issue.
  • News. News sections read the sources you choose: a curated crypto topic with wide international coverage from across the web, a news search for any phrase, any RSS feed (a project's blog, say), YouTube channels, X accounts, and X searches for what people are posting about a topic. X feeds use extra credits each time they run.
  • A short note. An AI section writes from your prompt, such as a short paragraph on the biggest mover and related news.

Then set the schedule. Crypto never closes, so you can send every day, weekends included, or only on the weekdays you pick, at your time and in your timezone. Each section skips stories it sent you in recent issues, and when nothing new happened, the section says so instead of padding it.

For moments that can't wait until tomorrow's email, add a price alert on a major cryptocurrency: above or below a level, or a rise or fall of a set percentage in a day, firing once or every time. It arrives by email as it happens, or in a daily digest or weekly report. Alerts are checked on a schedule set by your plan, not streamed.

To look before you build, the free Cryptoboard shows the largest coins by market cap with CoinGecko prices, updated every minute, plus the day's gainers, losers and trending coins. Click a coin for its price history, or use the board's alert section to set an alert.

Is Avos free?

You can try it free: the Starter plan needs no card. A briefing and alerts run on monthly credits, though, and each issue uses some, so a month of daily issues usually needs a paid plan. The pricing page shows how many issues each plan covers. On the free plan, send fewer days a week or keep the briefing short, and let price alerts cover the days in between: a price check costs a tiny fraction of a credit.

When is another option the better choice?

  • You trade on short moves. Use your exchange's app or TradingView. Avos reads CoinGecko, whose prices can run a minute or two behind the exchanges, and checks alerts on a schedule.
  • You only want a buzz at one price. CoinGecko's free app alerts do exactly that.
  • You want your portfolio's value once a day. CoinStats' daily portfolio notification does that on your phone.
  • You enjoy a written take on the market. A free newsletter by an editor you like is hard to beat for that.
  • You live in the Google app. Google Finance tasks can send a daily crypto update as a notification.

Avos is the better fit when you want one email about your coins only, with related news from sources you chose and price alerts, in the same place. For stocks and the economy alongside crypto, see how to build a personal markets briefing.

FAQ

Is there a free app that emails me crypto prices every morning?

Several send part of it. CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap send free daily newsletters about the whole market, and TradingView's free plan emails price alerts. Avos builds a morning email around your own coins, with prices and related news; the free plan lets you try it, and a month of daily issues usually needs a paid plan (pricing).

Where do Avos's crypto prices come from?

From CoinGecko, copied into your issue when it is built, so they can be slightly behind the exchanges. The public Cryptoboard uses the same data.

Can I get an email when Bitcoin drops below a price?

Yes. Describe it to Avos in a sentence, such as "Tell me when Bitcoin drops below 80,000" or "Tell me when Bitcoin drops 5% in a day". If your level is already crossed, Avos warns you before you save. The alert emails you after the check that sees the move, once or every time, as you choose.

Can I choose which crypto news sources Avos reads?

Yes. Each news section has its own feeds: a curated crypto topic, news searches, any RSS feed, YouTube channels, X accounts and X searches. The AI editor adds or changes them when you ask.

Does Avos give crypto trading signals?

No. Avos reports prices and related news, with links to the sources. Every issue ends with "For information only, not investment advice. AI generated."
