These terms govern the Avos News referral program (“Invite & Earn”). By sharing your referral link or claiming referral rewards, you agree to them. They apply in addition to our general Terms and Conditions.
You must have an Avos News account in good standing to take part. Each account has a single personal referral link. Both free and paying users can refer friends.
A qualified referral is a new person (someone without a prior Avos News account) who signs up using your referral link and confirms their email. You earn rewards at two milestones:
Referrals of accounts you control, and self-referrals, do not qualify.
Rewards are granted as Avos in-app credits (“reserve credits”). Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged, sold, refunded, or withdrawn. They can only be used within Avos News. Reward amounts are set out above and may change from time to time.
In addition, once you have claimed a lifetime total of 1,000 creditsin referral rewards, the features of the Plus plan are unlocked on your account. The unlock covers plan features only: it does not include the Plus plan’s monthly credit allocation, and your credit balance and refills continue to follow your actual plan. The unlock may be revoked in cases of abuse (clause 6).
Earned rewards accrue to your account and must be claimed from the Invite & Earn screen in the app. Rewards may take up to an hour to appear after a milestone is met.
Referral earnings are capped at 2,500 credits per account over the lifetime of the program.
The following are not permitted and may result in forfeiture of rewards: self-referral; creating fake, duplicate, or automated accounts; bulk or incentivized sign-ups; spam; misrepresentation; or any other attempt to game or abuse the program.
Avos News may withhold, reverse (claw back), or adjust credits, and may modify, suspend, or end the program at any time, including where we reasonably suspect abuse. Our determination of whether a referral qualifies, and of credit balances, is final.
Referral credits are reserve credits and follow the same policy as other reserve credits, including any expiry period described in your account and on our pricing page.
